SAGINAW, MI (WNEM) -

Saginaw has put more items up for sale on its eBay page, including used equipment, a car and even traffic signals.

Some of the things for sale were confiscated by the police department.

"Some of the most popular items are the used cell phones, and of course the traffic signals always sell quickly too," commented Debbie Buck, Public Information Officer. "Right now the store is featuring quite a large variety of goods such as videos, cell phones, and even a car."

Sale proceeds are returned to the original purchasing fund, which generates income for the city. Buck said the city is able to list up to 6 cars a year on eBay without paying a listing fee.

Currently, a 2007 Buick Lucerne, which was driven by a former city manager, is for sale with a starting bid of $3,500. The city plans to list two more vehicles prior to year end.

Those interested in viewing and bidding on any of the items mentioned can access the city's eBay store called "City of Saginaw," or go to the city website at www.saginaw-mi.com.
