FRANKENMUTH, MI (WNEM) -

Frankenmuth police said officers responded to an assault and attempted robbery on Thursday which was reported to have happen at the Szechuan House Chinese Restaurant in Frankenmuth.

Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim, a 21-year-old woman, who was an employee of the restaurant and stated the following:

A man came in to the restaurant around 7:17p.m. and walked to a booth where he took a seat. The victim came over to the table to take his order and he stated he was still looking at the menu. The victim returned a short time later and the man was now wearing a ski mask pulled down over his face, making only his eyes visible.

The suspect stood up and ordered the victim to be seated where he placed his hand over her mouth and advised her not to say anything.

The suspect then proceeded to the front of the store adjacent to the kitchen area where there where two other employees and walked past the cash register, fleeing out the front door to a vehicle in the parking lot with the owner of the establishment in hot pursuit.

The suspect jumped into a vehicle and fled the parking lot traveling westbound on Genesee Street.

The suspect is described as a white male, in his mid- to late 20s, standing between 5-foot 7-inches to 5-foot 10-inches, wearing a dark solid colored hoodie and light colored blue jeans, with a wallet chain. He had short -- but not buzzed -- brown hair, light brown goatee, unshaven, and blue eyes.

**UPDATE: Police released the sketch to the right showing the suspect.**

His vehicle is described as a four-door Mercedes Benz, with sunroof, silver or gold in color. The vehicle was believed to be occupied be the suspect only.

The suspect's get-a-way was captured on surveillance video and there was no mention or indication of a weapon during this incident.
