TUSCOLA COUNTY, MI (WNEM) -

Tuscola County Sheriff's deputies, along with Akron Police, responded to a 3-vehicle crash that  happened on M-25 on Monday morning.

The crash, which happened just before 11 a.m. near Thomas Road in Akron Township, resulted in injuries to the drivers involved.

Deputies said a vehicle driven by David Sylvester, from Linwood, was going east on M-25 and lost control, crossing the centerline. He was also towing a trailer. He struck a westbound vehicle driven by Ashley Volk, from Bad Axe, head on. Behind her vehicle another vehicle also going westbound collided with her vehicle.  That vehicle was driven by Bradley Schwanbeck, from Saginaw.

Authorities said the trailer being towed by Sylvester became detached and went into a field. All three drivers were taken to area hospitals for various injuries, none of which deputies said appeared life threatening.
