SAGINAW, MI (WNEM) -

Frigid air has been sweeping across Mid-Michigan so far this week.

Monday high temperatures were 5-10 degrees below average, but the coldest temperatures were felt Monday night and Tuesday morning.

Most of Mid-Michigan dropped into the single digits last night. The Tri-Cities and Houghton Lake recorded near zero temperatures, while other communities, such as Bad Axe and Caro, dropped below zero.

On top of the cold, it has also been breezy. Wind chill values have been near or below zero for many Mid-Michiganders on Tuesday.

This frigid stretch of weather will stick around for several days. Temperatures will fall to near 10 degrees tonight. With another breezy night ahead of us, wind chill values will once again fall to below zero.

Highs Wednesday will only reach the teens.
