A Phoenix city councilwoman-elect is recovering after having a seizure at Phoenix City Hall on Wednesday.
Councilwoman Kate Gallego said in a message on Facebook that her doctors are monitoring her to see if she has epilepsy.
"Many thanks to everyone who sent their thoughts and prayers. I had a seizure yesterday at City Hall. Thanks to great care and a quick response from city staff, I am doing well and resting at home. My doctors are monitoring me to see if I have epilepsy, and I will be taking some time off from driving. I also plan to stop skipping lunch. Lessons learned!"
Last month, Gallego beat out Warren Stewart for District 8.
