Mid-Michigan gets more snow

SAGINAW, MI (WNEM) -

A fresh batch of winter weather has fallen on Mid-Michigan and secondary roads are slick as a result.

After some areas received up to six inches of snow over the weekend, close to two more inches have fallen.

TV5 Meteorologist Lauren Fahrenkrug says a second batch will move through the area Tuesday, bringing another trace to 2 inches. By Tuesday evening, the area will have seen about 1-3" from these two rounds.

Tuesday temperatures will still be below average, but not as cold as Monday with highs reaching the upper 20s.

This is warmer than the past couple of weeks, but still below average. Temperatures will increase throughout the week to be above average by Thursday. 

  • Tuesday:  Periods of snow. High of 28.
  • Wednesday:  Mostly Cloudy.  High of 31.
  • Thursday:  Chance of PM rain/snow. High of 35.
  • Friday: Chance of rain/snow. High of 38.
  • Saturday: Mostly cloudy. High of 27.
  • Sunday: Chance of snow. High of 27.
  • Monday: Mostly cloudy, colder. High of 21.
