SAGINAW, MI (WNEM) -
Our next low pressure system will bring a wintry mix of rain and snow to the area tonight.
Meteorologist Catherine Bodak says the snow will change over to rain at times. As a result, very slippery roads are expected through tomorrow morning. About one to three inches of new snowfall is expected throughout and north of the Saginaw valley and northern thumb.
Locally higher amounts of four inches is possible in our northern most counties and western fringes. Further south along the I-69 corridor, expect trace amounts to two inches. Any rain that we do receive will cut down the snow totals late tomorrow morning and afternoon.
Two more areas of low pressure will track into the region this weekend. Mixed precipitation is expected with some additional snow accumulation possible. Stay tuned to WNEM.com and TV5 as those systems move into Mid-Michigan.
