Amherst officials are again speaking out about the number of students drinking in the town.
Officials are reporting an increase of students needing medical attention at the three college and university campuses in the town.
Fire department ambulances handled 84 calls related to excessive drinking during the fall semester.
That's compared to 67 over the same period last year.
Most of the calls came from UMass.
Fire officials say they're troubled by signs that more kids are using harder alcohol.
Police say there were 208 arrests or summons for minors in possession of alcohol in the fall. That's up from 197 the previous year.
