ATHENS, GA (RNN) – The surging Georgia Bulldogs welcome the Western Carolina Catamounts (6-7) on Saturday in Athens.

The game will be the last of a five-game homestand that's seen the Georgia Bulldogs (5-4) go 4-0 just before a short winter break.

The matchup is the sixth all-time meeting between the two teams, with the last meeting occurring in December 2005, an 89-65 win going to the Dawgs. Georgia leads the series 5-0. The Catamounts are a member of the Southern Conference.

Western Carolina's leading scorer is senior guard Trey Sumler, averaging 17.8 points per game and 4.4 rebounds per game. Georgia's leading scorer is sophomore guard Charles Mann with 13.5 points per game, three assists and three steals per game.

Georgia is currently averaging 74.6 points per game, 11.7 assists per game and getting 38.8 rebounds per game this season.

The Dawgs' last game was a 58-49 victory against the Gardner-Webb Runnin' Bulldogs on Thursday.

Tipoff between the Dawgs and the Catamounts will be at 2 p.m. ET and will be televised on CSS.
