Chesterfield Police arrest man wanted in Richmond homicide

CHESTERFIELD, VA (WWBT) -
A suspect wanted for a Richmond City homicide has been captured by Chesterfield Police.
 
Chesterfield and Richmond Police both confirm that 30-year-old Jermaine Williams, led Chesterfield police on a 2-minute chase that ended near Southlake at Midlothian around 9:20 Saturday morning.
 
Chesterfield Police say the man was taken into custody without further incident and is being held in Chesterfield pending new charges and will then be transported to Richmond on felony charges in connection to the murder of Dominique Richardson.
 
Williams had been charged with conspiracy to commit murder in connection to a triple shooting near the 400 block of East Broad Street on May 11.
 
In addition to the murder of Richardson, two other people were also shot.
 
We are waiting for further details from both police localities.
