CLACKAMAS, OR (KPTV) -

A woman played the role of Santa by handing out $100 bills and Christmas cards to surprised shoppers at the Clackamas Promenade on Christmas Eve.

Westley Gray said he was one of several people who received the $100 bills. He was working outside the Clackamas Promenade when the woman approached him and handed him a Christmas card.

Initially, he thought nothing of it, and didn't even open the card until he got to his car. Once he did, he couldn't believe what was inside.

"It was a hundred dollars in there. And I thought 'Wow.' I had so much joy, I couldn't believe it. My heart just dropped," he said. "I had tears in my eyes."

On the Christmas card, the woman wrote "Nothing is impossible! Thanks for being you!"

Gray said several other people received the Christmas cards and $100 bills. He didn't get a chance to thank the woman. He now plans to pay it forward by handing out some of the money to homeless people.
