Flint church trashed on Christmas Day

FLINT, MI (WNEM) -

A local pastor and his wife are upset after someone dumped piles of trash on the front lawn of their church.

Whoever has been doing it, dumped the trash on Christmas Day.

"Someone delivered us something for Christmas," says church First Lady Brenda Richmond.

Tree branches, scrap siding and cardboard boxes are littered everywhere in front of Agape Church on Wyoming Avenue in Flint.

Brenda Richmond says she doesn't care why it was done, she just wants to know who did it.

So she and her husband recently installed security cameras but the recent power outages sweeping Mid-Michigan let the dumpers get away with it again, because the cameras weren't on.

After looking at some of the debris left behind, TV5 found a note with a contractor's letterhead. The note had a date, time and a phone number, possibly a clue.

TV5 called the company listed on the paper, to see if they knew anything about this heap of trash with their name all over it.

No one answered, but a message was left.

If no one does come forward, Richmond says it's only a matter of time before they get busted.
