Juice back on for most of Mid-Michigan

LAPEER COUNTY, MI (WNEM) -

There are still a few DTE Energy customers that remain in the dark from last weekend's ice storms that blew through the area.

About a thousand customers were without power in Lapeer County's North Branch, Deerfield and Arcadia townships early Sunday, but almost everyone of those customers have had their electricity turned back on.

There were also small pockets of outages being reported between North Branch and Marlette.

There are also two outage pockets being reported just east of Goodrich on the Genesee/Lapeer County line. Most of the outages in that area are near the Ortonville Recreation Area. There is also a small pocket of outages being reported in southern Metamora Township. Less than 50 customers are in the dark in those two areas.

Officials expect to restore power to those areas by late Sunday evening or early Monday morning as well.
