Third Clio water main break could affect railroad crossing

Officials were on the scene of a water main break Thursday morning at 303 Johnson St. in Clio. The Clio city manager says it is the third water main break in the city since Christmas Day.

The area in on Johnson Street, between State and Railway streets, about two blocks south of Vienna Road or M-57.

The current water main break is threatening to do harm to the railroad crossing. The photos posted show how close the water spill is to the railroad tracks.

Johnson Street is currently closed to through traffic from Railway Street to State Street.

On Christmas Day, a water main break was located along South Mill Street. A second water main break took place again along South Mill Street on Dec. 26.
