Petition requests national coverage of Aynor teen missing since August

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – Another petition has been filed on change.org, this time requesting that Nancy Grace provide national coverage on Aynor teen Zachary Malinowski, missing since August 2013.

The petition, filed Monday night on change.org, targeted at Nancy Grace, requests that she helps spread the word about Zachary Malinowski's disappearance.

Malinowski, 19, was last seen on Sunday, Aug. 25 in Aynor. On the night of Monday, Sept. 2, the purple 1996 Chevrolet Beretta he was last seen driving was found burned on Valley Forge Road, near Aynor, confirmed Lt. Robert Kegler with the Horry County Police Department.

Volunteers have conducted several searches in Horry County since the disappearance last month of 20-year-old Heather Elvis. Malinowski's step-father joined in the search last week, saying he feels like he needs to give back to those who helped his family look for Zack after he disappeared.

After the petition seeking national coverage for the Heather Elvis case went up on change.org, Nancy Grace aired coverage on her show on HLN Monday night.

Stay tuned to WMBF News for the latest on both cases.
