CHARLEVOIX COUNTY, MI (WNEM) -

One of two men killed this week in a plane crash in Charleviox County is a Mid-Michigan native.

TV5 has learned that 51-year-old Todd Lloyd was a 1980 graduate of Clare High School. Lloyd died Monday along with 38-year-old Christopher Neumann.

Investigators say Lloyd was piloting the single-engine plane when it crashed east of Boyne City. The plane was headed for the Oakland-Troy airport.

Lloyd owned two businesses in the metro-Detroit area. Friends of Lloyd say that he had a great sense of humor and was extremely goal-oriented.

An investigation into that crash is underway. Funeral services are pending at Stephenson-Wyman Funeral Home in Clare.
