Police nab two in pharmacy burglary

Two people are in custody accused of breaking into the Sanford Family Pharmacy on West Saginaw in Sanford.

The incident happened Sunday afternoon around 4:45 p.m.

Sheriff's deputies were patrolling the area when they saw a Jeep leaving the back area of the business. Officers attempted to pull over the vehicle and a chase ensued.

The suspects crashes the vehicle and then took off on foot.

Officers apprehended the suspects, who are described as two 20-year-old males from the metro-Detroit area. When searching the suspect's vehicle, officers found a large amount of prescription pills as well as burglary tools.

The suspects are currently in the Midland County Jail. The investigation continues.
