DETROIT, MI (WNEM) -

The North American International Auto Show is in full swing in Detroit and some well-known guests plan to take part in the excitement as media preview week continues.

First, Gov. Rick Snyder will make an appearance at the show Tuesday. He'll offer remarks just before 9 a.m. and then he'll tour the auto show floor, beginning at the General Motors display.

And the White House says Vice President Joe Biden will be at the auto show Thursday.

Biden will discuss the future of the U.S. auto industry and highlight its recovery following the 2009 federal bailout.

The government sold its final shares of GM last month.

Tuesday at the auto show, the media preview continues.

A number of auto makers will hold press conferences including Lexus, Infiniti, Subaru, Acura, and Tesla and Michigan-based Cadillac.

The show also features input from the automotive industry's top leaders and thinkers throughout the event.
