You don't have to look far to find a Nike store in Oregon, home of Nike's international headquarters.
But New York will soon be home to a new kind of Nike store - a Jordan Brand shop one block from Madison Square Garden.
An 18-foot tall classic Jordan shoe box is serving as a construction barrier in New York while crews create the first Jordan-only retail store - "Flight 23 at Footaction."
That store will be the first in a series of Jordan brand stores coming to North America. So far, there's no word yet on whether Portland will be getting one.
In a statement, Jordan Brand president Larry Miller said "we will work Footaction to bring Flight 23 to markets across North America, and can't imagine a better place to start than one of the best basketball cities in the world, New York."
