GENESEE COUNTY, MI (WNEM) - is tracking at least a half-dozen accidents on area highways and roadways as deteriorating weather conditions hit Mid-Michigan on Thursday afternoon.

Following a report of two crashes in the noon hour -- one on U.S. 10 between Bay City and Midland near the 7-Mile Road overpass and another on I-75 at Mile Marker 144, there have been an outbreak of crashes in Genesee County.

Since 1 p.m., Central Dispatch in Genesee County reports some roads are very hazardous, with many spinout's and rollovers being reported, especially along I-69 near State and Irish roads in Davison Township.

Crashes were also reported on the westbound side of I-69, at Belsay, Irish and State in Davison Twp.

Another accident was reported at WB I-69 and Center Road in Burton. First Warn 5 radar did show precipitation moving through Genesee County around 2 p.m.

Meanwhile, A TV5 photographer was southbound on I-75 just a little bit north of the Bridgeport exit near the 144 mile-marker when he witnessed or came upon an accident that just happened.

The photographer said the crash involved a delivery-type truck, a boxy type truck but not a semi, and a small compact-type car. The photog says the car was so mangled he could not identify the make or model. The truck had a wheel or tire ripped off.

Our photog was on the phone with 911/medical dispatch while tending to the female driver of the car. He was sharing info about the extent of injuries to the woman and trying to keep her conscious. He could tell she was having cognitive issues. He also suspects a broken arm. The truck driver was not injured.

Stay with as we stay on top of traffic accidents in our area.
