Flint man reported missing in Grand Rapids

GRAND RAPIDS, MI (WNEM) -

The Grand Rapids Police department is asking for the public's help in locating a missing person.

Robert Allen Farthing, 78, was last seen at 3:45 p.m. on Jan. 15 at Blodgett Hospital

According to witnesses, he appeared to be confused and was looking for help with directions. He is from the Flint area, and police say he has not returned home to his family.
Farthing stands approximately 5-feet 11-inches, weighs about 270lbs and has gray hair. He does not have facial hair and only uses glasses for reading.

Farthing was last seen wearing a white waist-length coat, a white Ralph Lauren zip-up sweater, black pants and a black hat. He is driving a white 2005 Buick Lacrosse with cream leather interior. The only distinguishing features will be clothes hanging by
the rear passenger doors and a handicapped plate. The car's Michigan license plate is 5798G2 (handicap plate).


Anyone having any information regarding the whereabouts of Farthing or the vehicle is being asked to contact the Grand Rapids Police Department 616-456-3400.
