GARFIELD HEIGHTS, OH (WOIO) -
Garfield Heights Police are holding a man in jail for stealing a car with a 7-year-old girl inside.
Dwone Moore is facing charges for what happened Thursday night beginning at East 131 and Broadway.
Police say a mother went inside a corner store and left her car running with her child inside. Moore is accused of jumping into the car and taking off. Police say he later let the girl out of the car, and kept going.
Police later got a tip that the car was in Cleveland. After a short police chase, the man wrecked the car. Officers then had to use a dog and a taser to arrest him.
Investigators believe he was high on PCP.
