Woman's body found behind Riverview shopping center

ORLANDO, FL (WFLA) - Detectives with the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office have a mystery on their hands.

The body of a 21-year-old Gibsonton woman was discovered early Saturday morning at the rear of a shopping development in Riverview.

According to a Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office report the driver of a sanitation truck made the gruesome discovery at approximately 7:20 a.m. Meaghan Casady’s nude body was found at the Summerfield Plaza on Big Bend Rd.

Homicide detectives and technicians with HCSO’s Crime Scene Unit spent most of the morning collecting evidence. The Hillsborough County Medical Examiner's Office responded to the scene and transported the deceased to the morgue where an autopsy will be conducted to determine an exact cause of death.
