Police accused mom of allowing pot to grow in children's closet
WESTWOOD, OH (FOX19) -
A Westwood woman is facing an a third-degree felony endangering children charge after authorities say they found marijuana growing in an upstairs children's closet at the woman's residence in the 2900 block of Mignon Avenue.
Shamelah Wisedom, 20, was arraigned Friday in Hamilton County Municipal Court and she was ordered not to have contact with her 8-month-old daughter.
Authorities say on Sunday -- with the baby present -- four gunmen forced entry into the residence seeking the assets of drug sales. Numerous plants were growing in the closet, according to court documents. Authorities also found hazardous chemicals and rigged electrical work within the living area.
Wisedom was released from the Hamilton County Justice Center on a $25,000 bond.
