Silver Alert cancelled, 86-year-old Hernando man found safe

A Silver Alert has been cancelled for a missing and endangered man in Hernando county.

Benito P. Vivar, age 86, suffers from Alzheimer's disease and other medical conditions was found safe Friday evening. 

The Hernando County Sheriff's Office sent the notification around 8 p.m. Friday that Vivar had been found safe.

He was reported missing after he left the Bank of America on Forest Oaks Boulevard in Spring Hill at about 11:30 a.m.

Authorities did not release information about where Vivar had been.
