Extreme cold and light snow in the forecast

Posted: Updated:

This is Eric with your weather update for Sunday night. Most of the snow (less than 2" for most of us) has passed to the east. We may have some final bursts of light snow through early Monday...which will become partly sunny. We'll stay dry until Thursday and our next chance of snow showers.

Cold air is pushing into Michigan now, and we'll drop to 5 overnight in the Tri-Cities (6 in Flint) and it will... only come up a degree or two early Monday before falling to -8 Monday night. The wind will be gusting out of the west, and a WIND CHILL WATCH will go into effect Monday and will last until Wednesday, with wind chills Monday night as low as minus 30 to minus 35. Temps will rebound later in the week, but will still be below average for this time of winter.
