MIDLAND, MI (AP+WNEM) -

Authorities say slippery roads were a factor in a crash that killed a 46-year-old Midland-area man.

The Midland Daily News reports that Troy Lee Grice of Midland Township died in the Monday morning crash on Business Route U.S. 10 in the city. The two-car crash happened on U.S. 10 around 7 a.m. between Patrick Road and Waldo Avenue.

According to the Midland Daily News, the two vehicles involved, a 2001 Ford F-150 pick-up truck and a 2000 Buick sedan, collided nearly head-on. According to police, the pick-up truck driver lost control, crossed the median, and entered the path of the Buick. As a result of the impact, the pick-up truck was flipped over onto its roof on the roadway.

The 65-year-old driver of the pick-up was treated and released from an area hospital. His name hasn't been released.

An accident reconstruction team was called to the scene. The crash is under investigation.

Slick roads and weather conditions contributed to crashes that killed three people in the state over the weekend.
