NEW PORT RICHEY, FL (WFLA) - Deputies with Pinellas and Pasco sheriff's offices teamed up for a warrant sweep they called Operation Cold Justice and arrested a total of 302 people in both counties on various charges, officials said.

The agencies conducted the sweeps for two days, Wednesday and Thursday. They made 557 warrant service attempts and served 339 warrants. There were 155 new criminal charges issued. A total of 302 people were arrested.

The charges included various violations, possession of controlled substance, grand theft. The suspects were taken to the Pinellas and Pasco county jails.

During the sweep, deputies confiscated a number of items including multiple guns.

Sheriff Nocco and Sheriff Gualtieri held a joined press conference Friday in New Port Richey. They talked about the sweep and the arrests made by both agencies.

"Operation Cold Justice was a multi-jurisdictional operation that allowed us to arrest subjects with outstanding warrants in the most effective and safe manner," said Sheriff Bob Gulatieri.

Sheriff Nocco added that they got information for further investigations.

"Neighborhoods in Pasco and Pinellas were positively impacted by this united law enforcement operation," said Sheriff Chris Nocco.
