WNEM.com has learned that authorities in Shiawassee County are investigating after one or more suspects deflated tires on 17 school buses.
The Shiawassee Regional Education Services District tells WNEM.com that sometime Sunday night, at least one person went over the fence at the bus garage on Delaney Road in Owosso.
Officials said the vandals deflated one or both front tires on the buses, and as a result the special education buses did not run on Monday. The buses were in service on Tuesday. Officials said there appears to be no other mechanical damage.
The case has been turned over to the Shiawassee County Sheriff's department.
