NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

Police have made a big drug bust, and officers say it was an impatient suspect who tipped them off.

Postal workers say a man kept calling and checking to see if his package had arrived yet.

The employees didn't think much of his phone calls until the package showed up and reportedly reeked of marijuana.

Officers were waiting for Terrell Mills, 24, at the Dickerson Pike post office on Tuesday night when he allegedly arrived to pick up the package.

Police say the package contained 10 pounds of marijuana.

Mills is charged with possession of marijuana for resale.

A couple had dropped Mills off at the post office and were waiting nearby when detectives and a police K-9 team intercepted the package.

Justin Deon Williams, 23, told police another person would pay him $100 a pound to pick up packages and that he was planning to give money to Mills in this instance.

Williams and his girlfriend, Abby Trevino, 18, are each charged with conspiring to possess marijuana for resale.
