NEW YORK, Feb. 11, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- MOUSE, a national nonprofit organization that empowers youth to learn, lead and create with technology, today announced that Amy Kadomatsu will be joining MOUSE as a member of its Board of Directors.

As Co-Founder and President of ROKO Labs, a global mobile and web strategy and development firm delivering solutions to Fortune 500 and emerging growth companies, Kadomatsu comes to MOUSE as an expert in leveraging digital platforms to help executives achieve business goals. Through her work at ROKO Labs, she has launched dozens of successful technology solutions for start-ups and leading global firms, spanning product management, technology, strategy, marketing and business development.

Kadomatsu has been involved with MOUSE since 2013 when she became a mentor for MOUSE Corps students in New York City and also helped to raise significant new donations to MOUSE during its holiday fundraising campaign.

"MOUSE is an embodiment of the many interests I have wrapped in one program – kids, education and technology," stated Kadomatsu. "MOUSE is a program aimed at underserved youth; it is a program that leverages the use and creation of technology to develop the next generation of leaders. The program has the potential to impact thousands of additional students globally as it continues to grow."

Prior to founding ROKO Labs, Kadomatsu held positions at Snaps!, S&P Capital IQ, and TheMarkets.com, among others. A Harvard Business School graduate, she is a serial entrepreneur that specializes in delivering engaging products to users.  Kadomatsu has led businesses and boards through enormous growth and successful exits, and has held senior positions at global publicly traded companies as well as with startups.

"As a successful entrepreneur with a zeal for children and education, Amy is the perfect addition to our board," said Brian Miller, Chair, MOUSE Board of Directors. "Through her prior fundraising and mentoring, she has already shown a dedication to MOUSE and a deep understanding of our goals. 2014 will be a significant growth year for MOUSE, and we are excited to have Amy offer her expertise to help us through our expansion."

"As a co-founder and executive of a technology-focused company, every day I see how important it is for the next generation to be part of the creation of technology rather than merely users of technology," continued Kadomatsu. "MOUSE delivers technology education, leadership skills, and apprenticeships in a tangible way that's unrivaled, and I'm thrilled to be part of it."
