(RNN) – Running out of ideas for your Valentine? Thinking a romantic dinner, a few bottles of wine and Netflix or Redbox might be in your future?

Sure, tax returns will soon be making their way to a bank account near you, but that doesn't mean you have to spend all your money on cheap chocolates, jewelry and an expensive dinner with not enough food on the plate. Those are tired traditions.

Make it a Netflix night with your significant other, and stream these movies and television shows while cuddled on the couch. If you don't have a loved one, get some single friends – there is something for everyone here:

  1. Safe Haven – Yes, it's Nicholas Sparks, so your girl will love it. Just don't let her get lost in Josh Duhamel's eyes.
  2. Love Actually – It's a Christmas movie, but love is love, right?
  3. I Hate Valentine's Day – This movie not only looks adorable, but reunites Nia Vardalos and John Corbett from My Big Fat Greek Wedding.
  4. House of Cards – Catch up on the first season of this epic Netflix original series now – season 2 is released on Valentine's Day. Also if you have a crush on Kevin Spacey, this won't help anything (What, is it just me?)
  5. Grease – The best musical set around high school love. You can sing along to You're the One That I Want while celebrating the life of Sid Caesar, who played Coach Calhoun and who passed away Wednesday.
  6. Coupling – The BBC series about six 30-somethings who can't get anything right – especially love.
  7. Take this Waltz - A married woman begins to fall in love with another man, leading her to an unraveling rope of emotions.

This list doesn't satisfy your thirst for love or a lack thereof? Just search "romance" on Netflix and find a plethora of things to fall for. Happy Valentine's Day!

Things you can't unsee: A Billy Ray Cyrus remix with a lot of half-naked women

WARNING: If you've just eaten or have a sensitive stomach, just keep scrolling. It's not explicit per se - but definitely not family viewing.

I don't know which is worse: the fact that someone actually wanted to remake the 1992 honky-tonk novelty song Achy Breaky Heart, or if the song's singer, Billy Ray Cyrus, is so desperate for attention that he, like his daughter, is willing to be the pop culture accessory to a second-rate hip-hop artist.

In a newly-released single by rapper Buck 22 (son of Dionne Warwick), Achy Breaky 2 is both embarrassing and laugh out loud ridiculous. This is a new low for all involved, including the brief cameo by Larry King.

The video (yes, there is a video that captured this) has had more than 2 million views on YouTube. If there was ever a time to slowly begin giving up on music, this might be the song to do it.

Sports: Bob Costas' eyes are officially infected laser pointers

The Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia are creating quite the buzz on social media. Days before the Games even began, journalists and Olympians alike were taking to social media to air their grievances on the lack of preparation in Sochi.

Now that the games have begun, something else has the internet buzzing – the serious eye infection that took over the eyes of NBC sports broadcaster Bob Costas.

Costas contracted conjunctivitis, or pinkeye, first in his left eye and then in his right eye, forcing the longtime broadcaster to end his streak of 157 consecutive Olympic primetime broadcasts on Wednesday.

Social media has been having fun at Costas' expense, including a list of several hilarious internet memes by UPROXX. Costas even had a shot of vodka with Mary Carillo on-air, saying "my eyes can't get any redder." Atta boy, Costas.

Also in sports: Unless you've been living under a rock or completely blown away by Winter Olympics coverage, former Missouri Tiger defensive lineman and reigning SEC co-defensive player of the year Michael Sam revealed to ESPN and the New York Times that he is gay. The revelation and his prospects of being drafted in the 2014 NFL Draft could make him the only openly-gay male athlete active in any of the four major American professional sports.

Most people have been supportive of Sam, a 24-year-old college graduate, the SEC leader in sacks and a guy who has overcome a tumultuous life. Sports Illustrated talked to a few NFL-office people, who behind a shield of anonymity, showed their true colors and blasted Sam's decision to come out.

ESPN's Keith Olbermann spoke bluntly about how these men, behind their cowardice, shamed themselves, not Sam.

Music: New age rock group Phantogram wants you to 'Fall in Love'

Want to fall in love to a techno-alternative band this Valentine's Day weekend? Have no fear, the duo Phantogram has just the song for you.

Jam of the Week: Phantogram, Fall in Love

Fall in Love is a track off their sophomore album Voices and the pair plan on releasing an EP with Big Boi of Outkast later this year.

Movies: Can a weekend of '80s remakes and sappy love movies knock 'The LEGO Movie' from No. 1?

The animated feature The LEGO Movie and the historical drama The Monuments Men halted a possible forth week at the top of the box office for the buddy-cop comedy Ride Along.

The animated fan favorite could remain at the top but has competition – this weekend features two movies renewed from their '80s lore, plus a lovey-dovey romance flick new girlfriends will drag their love interests to see.

Here's last weekend's Top 5, according to Box Office Mojo (listed next to previous week's ranking and weekend gross):

  1. The LEGO Movie (NR) $69,050,279
  2. The Monuments Men (NR) $22,003,433
  3. Ride Along (1) $9,589,940
  4. Frozen (2) $6,872,811
  5. Lone Survivor (3) $5,565,860

In theaters: Feb. 14

About Last Night – Another year, another remake – this time from the 1986 movie of the same name. A new couple pairs their friends together as the four of them struggle through the beginnings of their relationships. The film stars Kevin Hart, Michael Ealy, Regina Hall, Joy Bryant, Paula Patton and Terrell Owens (good to see he's found work).

Robocop – In another mid-1980s remake, a cop is critically injured in futuristic Detroit, and Omnicorp takes his misfortune and turns him into a crime-fighting man/robot. The film stars Joel Kinnaman, Gary Oldman, Michael Keaton, Abbie Cornish, Samuel L. Jackson (not Laurence Fishburne) and Jay Caruchel.

Endless LoveSAPPY LOVE STORY OF THE WEEK – Can you guess what this one is about? A privileged, beautiful blonde with an overprotective daddy falls in love with the unbelievably hot help with a troubled past. Sorry, fellas – this is the one your girlfriend is going to drag you to see this weekend.

But, for your troubles, here is Lionel Richie and Diana Ross's Endless Love. It's probably better than the movie will be.

Also in theaters: Winter's Tale, Adult World, Jimmy P.

Tumblr of the week: Nails + Nosh

In the world of social media, there are few things people love more than taking pictures of their food. Fans of Instagram know this action as "food porn," where food is delectably photographed in a way that's almost sensual and naughty. And for gals who love Pinterest, the photos of trendy nail art that take over boards and news feeds are filled with glittery nail polish and new tutorials on how to catch the next big nail art trend.

In the Tumblr blog Nails + Nosh, the two create a photo collage of social media's greatest love child.

A little something from YouTube: You think 'The Notebook' is perfect? Think again

Not totally in love with the millennial love story The Notebook?

Neither is the crew at CinemaSins. In this video, they have gone to great lengths to show fans of the Ryan Gosling-Rachel McAdams love fest everything that's wrong with a story that's too good to be true.
