Two in custody after police chase, gun allegedly thrown from vehicle

FLINT, MI (WNEM) -

Police were forced to run a vehicle off the road after a chase in downtown Flint Wednesday night.

The incident happened just after 6 p.m. on Martin Luther King Boulevard.

Police attempted to pull over a Chevy Impala with two men inside, but the car didn't stop. Instead, it picked up speed.

That's when police saw one of the men toss a gun out of the window.

Once they felt it was safe, officers used a Michigan State Police car to force the vehicle off the road and into a snow bank.

Both men have been taken into custody. No one was hurt.

Police say this incident is especially troubling because anyone could pick up that gun thrown from the vehicle.
