Which would you prefer, snow days or snow minutes?

Posted: Updated:
LANSING, MI (WNEM) -

Folks in Mid-Michigan have had their fair share of snow days and the state board of education gave its opinion Wednesday on how those days should be made up.

Members voted unanimously, saying they believe schools should add entire school days to make up the lost time, rather than just adding a few minutes to each school day.

Michigan's public schools are required to add time once they exceed 6 missed days.

The board says adding full days will give students more quality instruction time.

TV5 wants to know what you think. Would you prefer snow days or snow minutes? Click on an answer in our poll box or sound off on the WNEM Facebook page.
