Frankenmuth High School and Nouvel Catholic Central are teaming up to host a wheelchair basketball game.
Basketball players from both schools are partnering with the Special Olympics to play in a wheelchair basketball game to benefit Elizabeth Kischnick in honor of her twin brother Zachary, who passed away in his sleep on Jan 7, 2014 at the age of 18.
Zachary and Elizabeth were both born prematurely and are special needs children. Mitchell Kischnick is a current athlete on the Frankenmuth Varsity Basketball team, and his brother Zachary was his biggest fan.
The game will be held Sunday, February 16 at 4p.m. at Nouvel Catholic High School.
All proceeds from the game will go into the Special Needs Trust Fund for Elizabeth. Organizers suggest a $5 donation at the door. The event also includes a raffle, prizes, amigo races and more.
