After rain moved through the area Thursday, the winds and fog are now an issue, reducing visibilities on the roads. Also watch for ponding on the roads from the rain and melting snow.
Winter weather advisories for Clare, Isabella, Gratiot, Gladwin, Arenac, Roscommon, Ogemaw, Iosco, and Alcona counties will remain in effect until 7pm Friday.
A final issue with this storm system is the wind. It will peak at 25-35 mph. Gusts may reach 45 mph Friday afternoon. The Tri-Cities, Thumb, and counties that contain I-69 have a Wind Advisory in effect until 7 p.m. Friday.
Temperature will fall on Friday. Along with the return of cold air, will come a chance of snow showers on Friday. Some areas of Mid-Michigan could see up to a half inch of fresh snow.
Stay alert and prepared, as power outages will be possible from ice and wind. It will remain breezy for the weekend and temperatures will stay on the cold side.
