PHOENIX (CBS5) -

Many Arizona business are voicing their opposition to SB 1062.

Opponents say the bill targets the LGBT community by protecting business owners who refuse service, based on deeply-held religious beliefs, from civil lawsuits.

Gov. Jan Brewer will make a decision on whether to sign or veto the bill this week.

"Governor Brewer, veto SB 1062," said Scott Koehler, owner of FastSigns on Central. "It's bad for Arizona. It's bad for business."

Since Saturday, Koehler has printed more than a thousand window signs with the words, "Open For Business To Everyone."

"Just one location showing their support isn't going to do it," he said about the large sign that hangs on the side of his Phoenix business. "We needed to get thousands of business to put these on display."

Take a drive around the Valley and you'll see hundreds of businesses sporting the sign.

"It's been absolutely overwhelming," said Angela Hughey, president of One Community, an equality-minded business coalition. "In the first 24 hours, we distributed over 800 signs."

Hughey said the divisive bill has actually united the businesses community.

"People throughout the state are printing the sign, if we can't get them to them - and posting them on their place of business," she said.

Opposition to SB 1062 can also be seen online.

Some people have changed their social media profiles to Arizona equality signs.

And, according to Change.org, the site has recorded more than 12 petitions against the bill.

One has more than 62,000 signatures.

"We are at a crossroads in the state right now," said Hughey. "We have to decide whether we want to be a state that continues to legislate hate or if we want to be a state that is open for doing business with everybody."

CBS 5 News has reached out through social media, asking business owners who support SB 1062 to talk with us on camera.

We are still waiting for a response.
