OWOSSO, MI (WNEM) -

Three people have now been charged in the death of MSU student and Owosso native Dustyn Frolka and TV5 is now hearing from his sister for the very first time.

Pamela Hincka says she and her family were devastated to learn that Frolka, her little brother had died, shortly after a stranger found him lying on the side of I-69. The victim of a possible homicide.

"Our understanding is that he was beat up, robbed, then dropped out of a moving vehicle. I don't know too many more details. I want to make sure he's not remembered as that," said Hincka. "He was just a very giving loving person and there are many questions about this scenario."

Hincka remembers her brother as a good student. He was a marketing major at Michigan State University, with a 3.5 gpa.

She says Dustyn, also known as "D-Fro", was a talented singer and rapper.

He met a lot of people as he traveled around Michigan performing. She says Dustyn was very friendly and that may have lead to trouble.

Three teens are now facing murder charges in connection with Frolka's death. His sister says all they can do now is pray for justice.

"Hopefully this bring some peace to all of us because it is so horrific." said Hincka.

Dustyn was also a father. His 10-month old daughter lives here in Mid-Michigan. Musicians Frolka worked with are putting together a memorial cd. They are also hoping to raise money to start a college fund for his little girl.

Meanwhile, police say Frolka's death is still an open investigation and more arrests could be made.
