Army Sergeant, Frankenmuth native passes away

A Frankenmuth native and U.S. Army Sergeant has passed away.

The Saginaw News reports sergeant Scott Krumnauer died Friday while on base in Washington D.C.

He had recently returned from Afghanistan. No word yet on the cause of death.

Krumnauer was 38 years old. He graduated from Frankenmuth High School in 1994.

Krumnauer was married and had two children. His funeral will take place on Monday, March 3 at 11 a.m. at St. Lorenz Luthern Church in Frankenmuth.
