Four brothers and sisters were flipped and flopped about a Jeep Thursday morning after a driver fell asleep at the wheel and crashed into a snow bank on Route 5 southbound in West Springfield.

All of the Doberman Pinscher pups survived the one-car accident, which occurred around 10 a.m. They were wrapped in a blanket and placed in a laundry bin to stay warm after they were shaken up in the wreck.

The SUV flipped just south of Elm Street, after the intersection where the McDonald's is located. Traffic was rerouted onto Elm Street. The driver was taken to Baystate Medical Center and treated for non-life threatening injuries.

The driver's sister-in-law arrived shortly after the accident to pick up the litter of pups. There was no word on the exact age of the dogs.
