Police capture bank robbery suspect

BAY CITY, MI (WNEM) -

Police have captured the man suspected of robbing the Chemical Bank branch on Columbus Avenue on Bay City's east side.

Jules Bahler, 21, of Brooklyn, NY was taken into custody Friday morning. he is also suspected of robbing Genisys Credit Union in Pontiac and Bank of America in Pontiac.

Police say the suspect allegedly robbed the Chemical Bank branch, located at 1513 Columbus Ave on Wednesday, March 5.

Officers say the man showed a gun then demanded money. He was on the run for nearly two days before being caught.

Detectives say they are working with the detectives from that jurisdiction and that more information will be released at a later time.
