Spartans hold off Delaware 93-78

SPOKANE, WA (WNEM) -

Adreian Payne scored 41 points, shooting an NCAA Tournament record 17-17 from the free-throw line as Michigan State advanced by beating Delaware 93-78.

The Spartans move on to a Saturday match-up with Harvard, who upset number 5 seed Cincinnati 61-57.

Payne also hauled in 8 rebounds. 

The Spartans as a team hit 23 of 25 free-throws and dished out 20 assists compared to the Blue Hens seven.

Travis Trice also scored 19 points, shooting 7 of 8 from the floor.
