Western Michigan's tournament stay was short as Syracuse hammered the Broncos 77-53.
The Broncos were no match for the Orangemen shooting only 34-precent from the floor against a stifling defense.
Four Orangemen scored in double digits, led by Trevor Cooney's 18 points.
Jerami Grant and Tyler Ennis each scored 16 points and C. J. Fair chipped in with 14 as Syracuse advances to face Dayton, an upset winner over Ohio State.
Tucker Haymond and Shayne Whittington led Western Michigan with 11 points each.
