Flint residents to get drinking water from new source

SAGINAW, MI (WNEM) -

Flint residents will soon get their drinking water from the Flint River.

Water will come from the river while crews work to build a new water pipeline from Lake Huron.

For the past 50 years Flint has bought water from Detroit.

Water from the river could begin flowing into homes in April.
