Bearizona cubs Boo Boo and Katy Beary predicted the top-seeded University of Arizona Wildcats will win this year's NCAA championship, wildlife park officials said Wednesday.
Head curator Vanessa Stoffel asked the bear cubs after their afternoon feeding who they thought would win the crown and they chose the Wildcats.
Soon after, Bearizona Wildlife Park displayed their support on a digital billboard at their entrance saying, "Bear Down Wildcats."
The Wildcats clash with the San Diego State Aztecs Thursday night in Anaheim in the regional seimfinal.
While Arizona is used to getting this far, it's only the second Sweet 16 appearance for the fourth-seeded Aztecs. They lost in the regional semifinals three years ago to eventual national champion Connecticut, also in Anaheim.
The Wildcats arrived in Anaheim on Wednesday.
The road to the regional has been fairly smooth. After getting their tournament legs, the Wildcats cruised past Weber State, then crushed Gonzaga.
ESPN reseeded the field of 16 and ranked Arizona the No. 1 overall seed.
