FLINT TOWNSHIP, MI (WNEM) -

A quiet Genesee County neighborhood is still in shock after a group of men broke into a home and shot a man in the chest.

The victim survived the shooting and police are now focused on getting the suspects off the streets.

Police say two men dressing in black and wearing ski masks confronted the homeowner. They barged into the home, fired shots and struck the victim. Then the suspects fled on foot to a nearby vehicle.

Flint Township police say that the shooting does not appear to be a random act. Now they are asking for your help to find up to four suspects.

Police say there are two men tied to the actual shooting, although specific descriptions or names have not been released.

Police have released the name of one of the suspects. He is identified as 36-year-old Jose Juarez. Police say he may be driving a tan SUV.

The other man has not been identified, but he was seen wearing a black coat and red shoes.

People TV5 talked to at nearby businesses say they did not see or hear any gun shots Wednesday morning.

Residents say the incident comes as a surprise to this rural community.
