TV5 helps painting company get paid

SAGINAW TOWNSHIP, MI (WNEM) -

A local business says it's been out of thousands of dollars because one of its biggest clients stopped paying.

You may remember the Sequins. They weren't too happy when speaking with TV5 on Monday.

The Sequins have been trying for months to collect more than $5,000 from the Castle Way Apartments in Saginaw Township.

The Sequins say the company that owns the apartment complex, called Woodlark, has been avoiding them since November after they wrapped up work there.

But after TV5 asked the tough questions and paid a visit to Castle Way Apartments, the Sequins' phone started ringing.

The Sequins say the company called them back for the first time in more than five months and they've acknowledged the debt and have agreed to pay up a total of $5,200.

Once the money is in hand, The Sequins say it's time to return the favor to those who supported them financially over the past several months.

The Sequins say they were told they will have at least some of that money Friday. The couple is very pleased and now very confident they will get the money that is owed to them.
