Woman who was told to keep water running gets $750 bill

BUENA VISTA TOWNSHIP, MI (WNEM) -

A woman was stunned to see that her water bill was higher than her rent and heat combined. This after she followed orders to keep her tap water running to prevent pipes from freezing.

Susan Byron lives in the Robin Glen mobile home community in Saginaw County's Buena Vista Township.

According to the Saginaw News, she was told by park management to let her water run when temperatures dipped below freezing in order to keep her pipes from freezing.

On March 28, Byron says she got a two-month water bill for $757.

She's now seeking an adjustment and a payment plan.
