Officers led on multi-state pursuit after man drinks anti-freeze
(KAIT) – A Missouri man is in the hospital following a pursuit that began in
Arkansas after he reportedly drank anti-freeze.
Sheriff Bob Holder stated Monday his office received a request to check on
Richard Allen Dearing just after 7 a.m. The man told his parents he drank
anti-freeze but would not tell them where he was, according to Holder.
Dearing was found
inside a van near a Paragould lake. When an officer came up to the van Holder
said Dearing drove off. Arkansas authorities pursued him through Marmaduke and
Rector all the way into Dunklin County.

to a Memphis hospital. His condition is not known at this time.
It is unclear what kind of charges Dearing may face.
