Crews respond to fire at Hale Fire Department

Posted: Updated:
HALE, MI (WNEM) -

The Hale fire department responded to a call Thursday morning that its own building was engulfed in flames.

The assistant fire chief says the fire started around 2 a.m. Eight separate fire departments were called in to help fight the fire. It took them about an hour and a half to fully extinguish the flames.

The township supervisor is meeting Friday with the adjuster to go over the losses sustained in the blaze.

Officials say none of the equipment used in battling fires was destroyed. They are still able to serve residents if any emergencies happen.

No word yet on exactly what caused the fire. The Fire Marshall is still conducting the investigation.
